Irvine Animal Caring Center (IACC) - Rabbit level 1

Since moving to the U.S., I have been volunteering at the OCAC Irvine Animal Caring Center for over a year, dedicating one day each week to caring for rabbits. My responsibilities include monitoring their health, providing food and water, and maintaining their hygiene. I make every effort to reduce stress and prevent illness in the rabbits until they are adopted into loving homes. This experience allows me to actively contribute to animal welfare, foster coexistence between humans and animals, and support my local community.

After I entered university, I wanted to do good above all else in my community. Since I was young, I was constantly inspired by my parents who always encouraged me to help others. At college, I saw the perfect opportunity to diversify my volunteering opportunites and involved myself in various programs. I served in various clubs, but the most memorable and rewarding was the Organic Animal Center Service and the Children's Educational Service Club. Going to an animal shelter for the first time was overwhelming for me with hundreds of cats and dogs needing management and relief services.

Animal abandonment and the increasing number of stray animals in ratio to the number of shelters have become an issue in South Korea. The shelter that I served was small and needed resources, but with enthusiasm and determination during my service, I helped the small shelter rehabilitate and care for our animal friends. To this day, I take pride in having a part in allowing the animals that I served to live in love and protection.

aim wonder - Hopeful Harmony and Faith

I am one of the founders of Aim Wonder Non-Profit, an organization dedicated to supporting women who were forced into marriage at the age of 15, their children, single mothers, and socially disadvantaged groups in the Middle East. Through our mission of Hopeful Harmony and Faith, we focus on addressing regional challenges that demand external support, often more urgently than in other underdeveloped areas.

Our primary goal is to empower communities by providing educational opportunities for vunarable children. We donate school supplies, food, and gifts to students in need, ensuring they have the resources to pursue their education and build brighter futures.

Rotaract (로타렉트)

A global organization, Rotaract is a great club that encourages youth to be a good citizen and be enthusiastic about their educational goals. I have been regularly visited the local child care center to provide educational services. I organized and managed the after-school activities of elementary school students and used original ideas to serve students creatively. For example, I was involved in helping create toys that will help students diversify their knowledge in astronomy. Having being a student of this organization myself, it was a great privilege for me to be able to give others a memorable childhood experience.
